In a written complaint lodged at Khilkhet Police Station on Sunday night, Snigdha stated that she was summoned to the Asian Medical College office on Friday under the pretext of an advertisement contract. There, she was allegedly mistaken for another woman, threatened with a shotgun, tied up, beaten with sticks, and dragged by her hair. She claimed that she was accused of embezzling 15 million taka under the name of a woman called “Zeba Takiya.” Despite revealing her identity, she alleged that her mouth was forcibly covered and she was compelled to consume intoxicating substances.

Snigdha reported that she managed to escape around 11:30 PM and sought treatment at Kurmitola General Hospital.

At a press conference held in Banani on Monday afternoon, she detailed the incident and demanded exemplary punishment for the accused. In an emotional voice, she warned that if justice is not served, she would be compelled to take her own life.
