Shakib’s Rockstar Now at Home — Streaming on Chorki from July 23

During Eid-ul-Adha, Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan’s film Rockstar became the center of attention in cinemas across the country. After a successful run in over a hundred theaters, the film is now set to release on the OTT platform. From July 23 at midnight, audiences will be able to enjoy Rockstar on the Chorki app and Chorki.net.
Director Azman Russo remarked that while countless viewers have already experienced the film in theaters, its OTT release will allow Rockstar to reach a much wider audience both at home and abroad — fulfilling his vision as a filmmaker.
Executive producer Ajay Kumar Kundu added that those who missed the theatrical screenings will now have the convenience of watching the film at home, at their own pace. He emphasized that viewers will also have the chance to revisit their favorite scenes and moments repeatedly.
Following its Eid release, Rockstar was screened in 103 theaters nationwide, the highest among Eid releases, and received positive responses in both multiplexes and single-screen cinemas.
In the film, Shakib Khan portrays a struggling musician — a role that diverges from his usual action-hero image. The story of friendship between “Agun” and “Aslam,” along with musical performances and emotional sequences, has earned audience praise. Since its release, social media has been buzzing with discussions about its scenes, dialogues, and songs.
Even before release, Shakib’s new look and character in the teaser generated widespread curiosity among netizens. His return in such a distinctive role heightened expectations among fans.
Now, leaving behind the big screen, Rockstar arrives on digital platforms, giving audiences at home and abroad the freedom to enjoy the film at their convenience.
