Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has strengthened his presence in the world of cricket alongside acting. He has inaugurated a new cricket stadium in California, USA, for his team — a move seen as an important step in the global expansion of cricket.
The stadium, named Knight Riders Cricket Ground, is located at the Fairplex complex in Pomona, California. It will serve as the home ground for Shah Rukh Khan’s Major League Cricket team, the Los Angeles Knight Riders.

On July 1, Shah Rukh Khan announced the inauguration of the stadium through a video message. He said, “It all began with a dream. Today, that dream has come true. Welcome to our Knight Riders Cricket Ground. This is not just a sports venue, but also a place for family and entertainment.”
The Knight Riders Group owns several teams across different leagues: Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL), franchises in the Caribbean Premier League, Women’s Caribbean Premier League, International League T20, and Major League Cricket in the USA.
The stadium will be operated by the Knight Riders Group under a long-term agreement, while the land and infrastructure remain under Fairplex ownership. Shah Rukh Khan’s partners in the group include actress Juhi Chawla and industrialist Jay Mehta.
